Dr. Roland EvansDr. Roland is a 1983 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. Dr. Roland has been in active practice since 1984. Originally from San Francisco, Dr. Roland practiced in Northern California for 12 years following graduation where he was part of a multi disciplinary clinic (DC/MD).
Dr. Roland has been practicing in Strawberry Point since 1995. During his time in Strawberry, Dr. Roland has been involved with Lions' club, Chamber of Commerce, Backbone golf executive board, Service director of the Ambulance service, coach for youth baseball and football. Dr. Roland brings an extensive background in athletics to his practice. Both as an athlete and treating doctor. He utilizes Thompson/Diversified, Activator techniques. Functional taping for soft tissue support and athletic injuries. |
Dr. Rhys EvansDr. Rhys is a 2003 graduate of Starmont High School, afterwards attending the University of Northern Iowa. He was called to active duty with the Iowa National Guard, 133rd Infantry, out of Oelwein, Iowa, in 2005 and was stationed in Iraq until 2007. Dr. Rhys graduated from UNI in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He went on to study chiropractic at Palmer College in Davenport, IA, graduating in 2013.
While at Palmer, Dr. Rhys received special training in Activator Technique and extremity adjusting, including shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, ankles and feet. He also learned soft tissue techniques, including Graston Technique, which focuses on treating muscles and tendons. This can be especially helpful for athletes wanting to maximize their potential. Dr. Rhys also studied Lumbar Flexion/Distraction, a technique used to treat low back pain and radiating leg pain. As a chiropractor, he utilizes all the techniques listed above when needed, along with Thompson/Diversified, Gonstead and functional taping. |
